What yoga style should I practice?

There are many forms of yoga.  Choosing a style that best suits your interests will depend on many factors: age, current level and type of other activity/exercise, temperature preference, fitness goals and your temperament.Some yoga is fast paced, while other forms are slow. Some yoga practices are meditative, some restorative.Experiment with different styles of classes. You may be surprised by how different they can be. Keep searching until you find the style for you.

How do I find a good yoga teacher?

Finding a good teacher is incredibly important.

This holds especially true if you are just beginning to practice yoga. Ask around among family and friends who practice yoga.  Make sure the yoga teacher you’re interested in is trained and registered with a reputable organization.

A good teacher will deliver clear instructions. They will prioritize student safety and make adjustments for students as needed. They should make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Do I have to be flexible to practice yoga?

Probably the biggest fear people have when considering a yoga practice is the fear of not being flexible enough. The simple answer is no - you do not have to be flexible to practice yoga. If you are not flexible, yoga is a great way to become more flexible. Both in mind + body.

Will yoga conflict with my religion?

Yoga is not a religion, it is a world view. Yoga does not conflict with religion. Yoga is a mind and body practice. Yoga typically combines physical postures, breathing exercises, meditation and focusing practices of mindfulness + relaxation.

What will i learn in a yoga teacher training?

For those who would like to teach, you’ll be prepared for public and private teaching. Our program was also created for those who are looking for a more in-depth study for your own practice. Our carefully crafted program will prepare you with the following key elements of teaching:

  • Learn the core alignment for traditional yoga postures based on functional anatomy

  • Skills of a teacher. How to hold space for a variety of students in a classroom, private, clinical or corporate setting.

  • Understand the essential principles of adjustments, ensuring safety and comfort for the teacher and student .

  • Anatomy focused on the musculoskeletal system and it’s application in yoga postures

  • Develop a greater understanding for the breath to movement connection, including basic breathing exercises to integrate into your classes

  • Introduction to energetic anatomy through the Chakra + Nadi System

I want to do a teacher training, but I’m not sure….

Do you have payment plans for your training programs?

Absolutely! We ask for an initial application + $1,000 non-refundable deposit. The final payment for any of our programs will be listed within the individual pages. We work to make our programs affordable, accessible and exciting. A lot happens behind the scenes in order to be sure that your training goes off without a hitch! Your investment shows us your commitment - then we become a team!
